Reasonably Foreseeable Misuse

Reasonably foreseeable misuse is use of a machine its maker never intended but should have predicted, like bypassing a guard to clear a blockage.

EN ISO 12100 requires designers to account for it alongside correct operation. If operators will predictably defeat an interlock to keep production moving, the design has to remove the incentive or survive the attempt.
